Idea Cellular today launched its own branded SmartPhone - Idea 3G Blade Android and Idea ID-280 3G Android Smartfone in Indian market. They are priced at Rs 8000 and Rs 6000 respectively with freebies of Data usage and Video calling. They also come with Facebook, YouTube and other built-in applications.
Now that Idea has over 100 Mn subscribers in India, with entry price point of 3G smartphones now reduced to mere Rs 5850, will consumers make the shift ?
Another thing to note is 3G plans are still costly and hence adoption maybe slow. However, what one must watch is the eco-system of smartphones in India. Will Indians ditch Nokia and move to the android platform as it is gaining increasing adoption by Telecom Operators themselves ?

There are only 2 features I can see.
