Airtel Freedom Plan may have introduced Per Second Billing as a Marketing Mantra. But if you look at the details this is the most Expensive Wireless Tariff Plan launched in recent times. We compare the two plans for the sake of 450 mn wireless subscribers.

  • Applicability - Freedom Plan only for Pre-Paid, while Simple Reliance for both pre-paid and post-paid in CDMA and GSM.
  • OnNet Call Tariffs - [Local and STD] - Freedom Plan 60 paise / Minute [1 ps per second billing] OnNet - Simple Reliance 50 paise / Minute
  • OffNet Call Tariffs - [Local and STD] - Freedom Plan 72 Paise/ Minute [1.2 ps per second billing] - Simple Reliance 50 paise / Minute
  • SMS Tariffs - Freedom Plus - Local @ 50 paise and STD at Rs 1.50 while Simple Reliance gives you any SMS at 50 paise.
  • Roaming Tariffs - Freedom Plan is VERY Expensive - While Roaming your calls will be charged per minute. Incoming Calls at Rs 1 / Minute. Outgoing Calls - Rs 1 / Minute to Home State. Rs 1.5 / Minute for STD Calls. Local SMS Rs 1. STD SMS Rs 1.5. Compare this to Simple Reliance, Tariff Remains the Same - 50 Ps / Minute Incoming or Outgoing and SMS will cost 50 Paise.
