The new Millennium's Extreme Innovator - Google Inc has opened the Product Ideas for Mobile discussion forum to everybody. Earlier this used to be visible in a different form to Google Employees only. [They can contribute internally to host of product ideas]What is Product Ideas for Google Mobile ?
If you are using Google Products on your Mobile be it iPhone, Windows Mobile or Nokia - You can go ahead and make a wish of application that you want to see. For instance you want to manage Google Calendar on Google Mobile.
You can browse the list of ideas here and vote on the same - like / dislike. We strongly recommend that you suggest your idea to Google and see it come out as a great product. If you are a Mobile Applications Developer, then we encourage you to spend $650 and get a Google G1 Android Phone and Build the application yourself and own the rights :-)

Microsoft search continues to lose market share to rival Google despite stupid gimmicks like cash back and gifts. Microsoft's search share dropped to 8.3% from 8.5% on a Month over Month basis. Engineers at Google continued to rock as they now control 63.5% of the search market.
Microsoft India continued to offer gifts to netizens using live search wherein a banner would display two dices with numbers on it. Anybody who got a 6 & 6 on dice would get a gift [encouraging users to use Poor Quality Search again and again so that they can at least arrest the downfall]
However, Microsoft's poor product design didn't allow the user claim his gift. Instead of stupid marketing tie-ups and tricks, Microsoft should focus on improving search quality which is unlikely to happen as they have already been doing so for the past 3 years in vain.

India's leading bank for retail customers - ICICI has clearly failed to embrace technology which otherwise would have made the banking for millions of customers easy. Just do a Google Search on ICICI Products Review such as ICICI Direct etc and you will see only complaints and no appreciation.Most of the times when markets exhibit volatility, ICICI Direct is Down. A reader sent us screen shots on how stupidly ICICI has handled the Password module. At the Login Page, ICICI displays a Virtual keyboard [to prevent password thefts by key loggers] and once logged in, if one has to change the password, there is no Virtual keyboard. This shows that how poorly IT Systems are planned and developed in ICICI.
Dalal Street exposes bug in ICICI's trading Platform as it didn't let users execute orders in HDFC Bank stock which is not subjected to any circuit limits. A user on ComplaintBox demands invstigation by SEBI for not executing his orders and system letting the user do all sorts of modification on his order without any outcome, is also mad about ICICI's extremely poor customer care. You will see endless consumer woes about ICICI's services. Looks like there is absolutely no accountablity in the organization as they incrementally fail to resolve problems.

Microsoft has enhanced the online space that users will get on its Live SkyDrive to 25Gigs from 5Gigs earlier, making Microsoft the king in online storage space for users. We had first reviewed the Windows Live SkyDrive in early Feb-08.Microsoft has enhanced the SkyDrive by giving users the option to download entire folder as a Zip. What Microsoft intends to do with this service is, let it be integrated as a Social File Sharing Service. Limit on File Size has been enhanced to 50MB. You can share Music, Documents, Pictures etc with select few or Groups etc. Hopefully they will introduce Web 2.0 access APIs for SkyDrive soon.

According to a latest study by SecTheory researchers on Internet Security, blocking Javascript on websites helps you conserve power. [We have personally witnessed this on a 5 year old laptop, when we load heavily scripted web pages, the CPU starts making noise as if its doing to die any moment.]The top 10 power abusers in Firefox 3.0.4 consumed 0.481 Amperage or 56.758 Watts while the normal idling power consumption was between .36 and .39. Adding NoScript [Blocks Javascript] and AdBlock [Blocks all Javascript based Ads] the consumption was 382 Amps (45.076 Watts). This research how significant dynamic client side technologies and advertisements are to overall power usage of the average consumer.
In a separate study, it was noted that designing web-pages with a black background will also help conserve power since the black pixels on CRT based monitors will be turned off.
