Your quest for those Old Kishore Kumar/ Lata Songs OR the re-mix by Bombay Vikings comes to an end with Guruji's Music Search. Bangalore based Indian Search Engine Company, Guruji.com has launched Music Search.

What Guruji's crawler essentially does is it crawls all the music sites and caches everything but the actual music file. When a user searches for some music say "Pehli Nazar Mein" Guruji serves results listing the name of the Movie from which the song belongs to, Lyricist, Singers etc. The song will be played in a new small window.

Media companies have turned their eyes red that Guruji maybe violating Media Rights, however they are merely Caching Info, Indexing, Retrieving and Pointing the user to the right place without actually hosting the songs. Media companies' argument may not stand if the case goes to trial.
