Global storage giant for SOHO's has released Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini in India. The device is easily pocketable and weighs just 170 gm. You can fit upto 22 full length DivX movies or around 32,000 mp3 songs. OK, it comes with a capacity of 160 GB.The device connects to your workstation using USB 2.0 and comes with built-in disaster recovery and data backup utilities. The moment you connect the device, its contents pop-up showing you the software that comes with it. Install the utilities, configure the options you require and be worry free.
Maxtor SafetyDrill is a fantastic utility, which lets you backs up your computer's contents to the external drive, which you can restore using the bundled Linux based bootable CD in case of system failure or virus attack.
The device had single file read/write speeds of 26 / 21 MB / second and multiple file read/write speeds of 17 / 18 MB / second. Overall a neat product one should have in their SOHO. Suggested retail price in India Rs 6,000.
