YouTube + HP Movie Director Competition

Friday, October 05, 2007

YouTube and HP have come together to sponsor a short film contest to bring to light creative movie directors. All you have to do is create short movie between 2 to 7 minutes in length and submit between October 7th and November 9th to YouTube. The film MUST also contain the following line "What do you have to say" [Maybe HP's corporate tagline. I am not sure about that] Entry guidelines require that you pass a photograph of yours to someone and face a situation above your maturity level.

Winner of the film will be rewarded with $5,000 and get to spend 9 days at the international film festival and also get to meet folks at Fox's Searchlight studio.

The Web, especially YouTube has become a platform for upcoming Artists. goBroadband said that this let users exhibit talent and let others choose the most talented, as in the case of India Ka Hero.
